The Root & The Weed

August 29, 2018

The criticism you encounter is often processed better when remembered to not take it personally. After all, it's not about you.

It never has been.

If you find that the root of the issue is not what is presented, then the issue itself is actually a weed. The sooner weeds are plucked from the garden, the sooner the true root issue can be found. Both need pulled, and we need patience and wisdom to discern the difference between the two.

When we take on responsibility for helping one another grow in maturity, it often means getting our hands dirty. But having a garden worth having means pulling out the weeds.
